Google Books and Copyright Infringement

Google’s effort to scan millions books for giant library books online at Google Books have received another obstacle. The photographers in United States have sued Google at U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP), an illustrator and graphic design group, consider Google’s copyright infringement. For photos and illustrations in the book are legally protected their creations.

“Just be justified if someone uses what you create, you then get paid,” said James McGuire, the agency legal counsel, as quoted from the Telegraph, Thursday (08/04/2010). Read more »

YouTube and its new design

To make it more appealing, YouTube, a video sharing site owned by Google is releasing substantial design changes, which aims to create a cozy view to their user.

Internet cafe users in the UK are asked to be careful when going to download files from the Internet. Therefore, the local police, Scotland Yard’s, had asked the internet cafe manager “overseeing” suspicious activity to its customers in the virtual world.

Internet users in China will reach 500 Million

A high official of China said the population of Internet users in the country is expected to reach 500 million people in the next two to three years. Based on the latest official data, China now has 384 million Internet users and the number that have placed China as the world’s largest internet user.
